Rev. Dr. Melody Maxwell serves as associate professor of church history and as director of the Acadia Centre for Baptist and Anabaptist Studies at Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She is the author of multiple books about Southern Baptist women, including Doing the Word: Southern Baptists’ Carver School of Social Work and Its Predecessors, 1907-1997 (with T. Laine Scales).
