Emily Coccia graduated from Georgetown College in 2015 with majors in English and government, while concurrently working on her master’s degree in English through Georgetown’s A.B./MBA program. Her studies focus on gender and sexuality through the lens of feminist and queer theory. Emily lived in the Female Empowerment Magis Row house and served as the editor-in-chief of Ye Domesday Booke, the president of Women in Politics, and the corresponding secretary of the Philodemic Society. She was a a WAGE Fellow, a Carroll Fellow, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Nu. At the Berkley Center, Emily was a student fellow in the 2014-2015 Doyle Undergraduate Fellows program and blogged for the Junior Year Abroad Network while studying in Italy during spring 2013.
