The Doyle Engaging Difference Program welcomed invited guests to learn more about Listening from the Heart (LftH), a transformative education program developed by the Parents Circle–Families Forum (PCFF) in collaboration with the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) and The Red House at Georgetown University to foster empathy, understanding, and reconciliation around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This hands-on workshop combined powerful video testimonies from bereaved Israelis and Palestinians with a comprehensive facilitator’s guide to support meaningful dialogue.

This interactive workshop focused specifically on practical strategies for incorporating the LftH program into courses and other learning environments. Participants engaged directly with the materials, experienced key components of the pedagogy, and explored concrete approaches for adapting the program to diverse educational contexts. The session was designed for educators who wanted tools to support rigorous, compassionate learning around complex and emotionally charged topics.

The workshop was co-facilitated by representatives from PCFF, CNDLS, and the Red House. Attendees learned ways to integrate these tools to foster dialogue, empathy, and healing within educational contexts.

This event was a part of the Doyle Engaging Difference Program, which is jointly administered by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship at Georgetown University.
