Doyle Conversations about Anti-Racism in Higher Education: Session Eight

The Doyle Engaging Difference Program will continue hosting our Doyle Conversations about Anti-Racism in Higher Education series this fall as a space to discuss and design a more anti-racist campus based on the campus climate survey and other student feedback. We invite the Georgetown University community to join us for lunchtime conversations on November 5, 2021 and December 3, 2021. All sessions will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. ET via Zoom.

What if in 10 years, all students at Georgetown University saw themselves reflected in their curricular and co-curricular experiences? What would we need to do to get there? What changes would this process require in my individual work, unit, or department?

Using this provocation as a point of departure, the Doyle Program invites faculty, staff, and students to speculate on these questions, and to develop strategies aimed at supporting radically inclusive innovation at Georgetown. Over the course of two lunchtime sessions, participants will hear from colleagues who have used critical pedagogical intervention. Participants will then draft action plans oriented toward their own class goals, with a view to implementing these changes in the near future.

This conversation series is sponsored by Georgetown University's Doyle Engaging Difference Program, jointly administered by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, and the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS).
