Catherine Alaimo
Profile
Catherine Alaimo (C’26) is an undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences majoring in psychology with minors in journalism and French. She grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. As part of the fall 2024 Doyle Global Dialogue cohort, Catherine studied French language, society, and culture at the Université de Strasbourg’s Institut International d’Études Françaises. Catherine was excited to sharpen her French language skills and immerse herself in French culture, which she has admired ever since she was little. She also wanted to form deep connections with the people in Strasbourg and understand how the Alsace region’s unique cultural, political, and religious backdrop impacts them personally. On campus, Catherine is an editor for The Hoya and a member of Georgetown Running Club, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Georgetown Admissions Ambassadors Program. She loves hiking, reading, exploring new places through travel, and trying out new recipes.
