Farkhunda Fazelyar (SFS’26) is an undergraduate student in the School of Foreign Service, majoring in culture and politics with a concentration in community health. Born and raised in Afghanistan, she completed high school in India and is keen on interweaving her personal experiences with academics to pursue the intersection of health and politics. At university, she has been an active member of Admissions initiatives like Desert Hoya, performing arts clubs like RAQS and GU Jawani, and the Afghan Student Association. As part of the Doyle Global Dialogue 2024-2025 cohort, she looked forward to reflecting on her journey as an international student in Qatar and potentially finding parallels as she embarked on a Zones of Conflict, Zones of Peace trip to Indonesia.
