Maria Severin (SFS’23) is an undergraduate student majoring in culture and politics with a minor in Arabic at Georgetown University in Qatar. She is originally from Moldova, and comes from a mixed background of Romanian, Russian, and Ukrainian cultures. Her areas of interest include theology, anthropology, and the intersections of different cultures and ethnicities. She had spent time as an exchange student in Des Moines, Iowa, and fell in love with horse riding, farms, and trucks. She enjoys learning about other cultures and sharing traditional Eastern European recipes. She was part of the fall 2021 cohort of the Doyle Global Dialogue.
