Nelly Kalukango (SFS’26) is a sophomore at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Qatar, originally from Zambia. She is planning to major in culture and politics with a particular concentration on the interconnection of education, culture, and politics. She also has a keen interest in education, arts, and leadership. Nelly is a graduate of the African Leadership Academy in South Africa, a recipient of the 2023 Gwendolyn Mikell Award for Womxn’s Empowerment, and the current vice president of the African Students Association, among many other things. She is excited to be part of the Doyle Global Dialogue cohort this academic year and is excited to engage in meaningful conversation about life as an international student and cultural exchange, sharing experiences as well as learning from others.
