Reem Kirja
Profile
Reem Kirja (SFS’29) is an undergraduate student in the School of Foreign Service, where she plans to major in international politics. She is a 2024 U.S. Senate Youth Program (USSYP) delegate representing Iowa and a 2025 Coca-Cola Scholar. Reem’s civic leadership and advocacy have been recognized by organizations and outlets including Human Rights Educators USA, the National Association of Secretaries of State, Al Jazeera, and Change.org; in 2021, Change.org named her a Top Changemaker Under 25 for leading a successful campaign to secure districtwide recognition for Muslim holidays. At Georgetown, Reem serves on the International Relations Council Advocacy and Service Sub-Board, and she works with the Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching and Service as a student academic assistant in justice and peace studies. Her interests include human rights, public policy, and youth civic leadership at the intersection of law and global affairs. She is a member of the 2026 Doyle Dialogue Fellows cohort.
