Sherry Kao
Profile
Sherry Kao is an assistant teaching professor of philosophy at Georgetown University. Her research centers on value theory, ethics, history of ethics, and bioethics. Besides writing papers in these areas, she extends her research to include environmental ethics, ethics of belief, social-political philosophy, and Chinese philosophy. She contributed a chapter on egoism and social contract theory for the Rebus Open Textbook Project in an effort to make philosophy accessible. As a teacher, she aims to help students feel comfortable challenging themselves through developing their voice on hard questions.
