Sophia Urdinola (H'27) is a global health major with a minor in French and Francophone studies at Georgetown University. She is passionate about health policy and equity. Sophia is vice-chair of PERIOD.'s National Youth Advisory Council, a global, youth-driven nonprofit fighting period poverty and stigma. She has spoken at events such as the Girl Up DMV Summit 2024 at the United Nations Foundation. Additionally, Sophia conducts postpartum research at the Georgetown University School of Nursing as the lead research assistant for Spanish-language recruitment. As co-president of H*yas for Choice, she has worked with the Georgetown University Student Association to advocate for free, high-quality menstrual products across campus and co-moderated a panel on reproductive rights. She also spearheaded H*yas For Choice’s partnership with Planned Parenthood, securing recognition as a Planned Parenthood Generation Action group. Sophia is a caffeine enthusiast, working at Uncommon Grounds located in the Leavey Center at Georgetown. She is a member of the inaugural spring 2025 Doyle Dialogue Fellows cohort.
