What is academic freedom and what are its benefits to us in higher education? How do we make the most of principles of free expression and academic freedom for our teaching and learning? What are key skills and tools for deeply interrogating an idea from a multiplicity of views and engaging in open dialogue and exchange?

Join us for the "Academic Freedom Colloquium" to explore and examine academic freedom from multiple lenses. Open to Georgetown University students, staff, and faculty. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.; the workshops begin at 1:00 p.m.

This colloquium is a program partnership with the Georgetown Dialogues Initiative, the Doyle Engaging Difference Program, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program at Georgetown University and PEN America.
